“I got up and saw a lot of people who couldn’t speak, had broken legs, and were just sitting there in shock. I managed to squeeze out through the gap in the doors because I’m quite thin,” Dr. Knapp explained. His initial thought was that the crash might have been a terrorist attack, as the force reminded him of an explosion. “My first thought was to get out of the train just in case it was a terrorist explosion. I thought it was safer to be outside,” he said.
