A 7-year-old boy lost his life following a car accident on a main road in Staffordshire, according to police reports. The incident occurred in the early hours, prompting an urgent response from emergency services.

Authorities arrived at the scene of the crash involving a vehicle and a child near the junction of the A38 and A5206 in Lichfield around 5 a.m. on Saturday. The A38 was temporarily shut down in both directions between the A5148 and A5 intersections, remaining closed for over 10 hours as investigators examined the circumstances.
‘Sadly, the child, a boy aged 7, died at the scene,’ stated a Staffordshire Police representative. ‘His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.’
Following the incident, the police issued a call for witnesses to assist with the ongoing inquiry. The spokesperson emphasized the need for anyone in the vicinity at the time to share observations or dashcam footage.
