Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old man, has been identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near a popular viewing area in north London on Tuesday, leaving him with severe knife injuries. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road, Enfield, was apprehended on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday. His court appearance is scheduled for Monday at Stratford Magistrates’ Court.

A separate 25-year-old individual, initially detained on suspicion of aiding the perpetrator, has been cleared and released without further charges. The police emphasized that their inquiry remains active as they continue to gather evidence. Another man in his early twenties was also found with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road the same day, though his condition is described as non-life-threatening.

Victim’s Background

Sullivan was a film student at the London Screen Academy, according to authorities. His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, shared his grief with BBC London, stating that he had lost his only son, known to loved ones as Fin. “His friends called him the light, the leader. Their parents cherished him, which makes this loss even more heartbreaking,” he expressed.

“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,”

Chris Sullivan’s comments highlight the emotional impact of the incident, underscoring the community’s connection to the victim. The Met has not yet disclosed any additional details about the case, leaving the public to await further updates.
