Dan Walker to appear at tribunal as ex co-host brings bullying claim

Dan Walker to Appear at Tribunal Amid Bullying Allegations

Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije, a former co-host on Channel 5 News, has initiated a legal case against Dan Walker, a TV presenter, and the network’s parent company, Paramount. The claim alleges Walker subjected her to bullying, with additional accusations of sexism and misogyny, as reported by *The Mail on Sunday*. Vanderpuije’s lawyer confirmed that both ITN and Paramount are listed as respondents to the dispute.

ITN has denied the allegations in full, stating the claim will be handled through the tribunal process. A spokesperson for the network added,

“This claim, which is denied in full, will be addressed through the tribunal process.”

Walker, who has been approached for comment, reportedly has over 50 character witness statements supporting his defense. The Mail on Sunday also noted that a prior internal investigation into the claims did not confirm any misconduct.

The employment tribunal is scheduled to begin on 20 April in London and is expected to last five weeks. Vanderpuije joined Walker on Channel 5 News in 2022 but left the network in 2024. ITN’s CEO, Rachel Corp, is also named as a respondent in the case. The legal proceedings will determine the validity of the allegations against Walker and the organizations involved.
