Woman raped by several men outside church
A 20-something woman was sexually assaulted by multiple males near a church in Epsom, following her exit from a local nightclub. The attack reportedly occurred between 2:00 and 4:00 BST on Saturday, as she was ambushed outside the Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road.
Investigation underway
“We understand this is an extremely distressing incident and the victim is being supported by specialist officers,” said Det Insp Aine Matthews. “Our investigation is in its early stages, and we are working at pace to develop our picture of the suspects, with details shared as soon as possible.”
Police have not yet released complete descriptions of the offenders, though investigations are underway to track them down. Officers are seeking witnesses who may have observed or interacted with the woman in her 20s during the incident.
